Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Faculty of Engineering at the university discussed 90 graduation projects for students by the end of the first semester of the academic year (2022-2023) in (4) distinguished programs that meet the needs of the local and international market. These programs are: “Communication Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Architecture”, and this comes in order to activate the development of the educational process and provide unique experiences for students that combine academic content, training and application to become competitive and qualified for the labor market. Pointing out that some projects are carried out in agreement with one of the well-known Russian universities under the umbrella of the double degree agreement between the “Egyptian-Russian University and the Russian State University of Izhevsk” in the Federal Republic of Russia.

In the same context, Dr. Alaa Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the “Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering” in the faculty, under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Mossad Ibrahim, head of the department, discussed (18) graduation projects and they were completed by students during the first semester. These projects included a large number of applied industrial topics required locally and globally, pointing out that the students designed and manufactured a large number of robotic and mechatronic systems, production lines, simulation systems, and artificial intelligence.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University added that the “Department of Construction Engineering”, under the supervision of Dr. Fatima Shaltout, Head of the Department, discussed (72) graduation projects for students over two days, with the arbitration of discussion committees that include elite professors of civil engineering in its various branches. It is worth noting that the department contains a large number of courses related to project management; Which makes it distinguished compared to its counterparts in the faculties of engineering in other universities.

Dr. Alaa Al-Batsh stated that the committee for discussing soil mechanics and foundations projects consisted of: “Dr. Muhammad Rabie, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in El-Matareya, Helwan University, Dr. Heba Al-Saeed, and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Demeiry.” The committee for discussing projects of properties and resistance of materials consisted of: Dr. Amr Al-Hefnawi, Secretary General of the National Center for Building Research, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jabri, Director of the Institute of Materials Properties at the National Research Center, Dr. Alaa Abdel-Tawab, Dr. Mohamed Saber, and Dr. Mirhan William. The committee to discuss projects of concrete structures design consisted of: Dr. Nasr Zeinhum, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Al-Madina Institute, Dr. Omnia Farouk, Dr. Safinaz Khalifa, and Dr. Hany Ragab. The Project Management Projects Discussion Committee consisted of: Dr. Manal Abdel Hamid, Director of the Project Management Institute at the National Center for Building Research, Dr. Ayman Al Hakaa, Dr. Ahmed Bahaa El Din, Dr. Abdel Aziz Al Sharqawy, Dr. Saeed Mahrous, Dr. Dalia Mamdouh, and Dr. Finis Fayed.” at the Faculty of Engineering in El-Mataria, Helwan University, and Dr. Ali Al-Refai.” Head of the Consulting Center at the Faculty of Engineering in El-Mataria, Helwan University, and Dr. Ahmed Abul-Maaty, professor of road design at Menoufia University, and Dr. Mohamed Rabah, Lecturer of Methods, Department of Construction Engineering, Egyptian Russian University.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University indicated that the “Department of Communications Engineering” under the supervision of Dr. Shaima Mustafa Jaber, acting Head of the Department, has discussed (5) graduation projects for students, including:

– The “Embedded Sensor Systems for Smart Vehicle Applications” project, which is: “Designing and implementing a driver monitoring device and recording vehicle systems data using embedded systems technologies, artificial intelligence and tele communications.

– The “Visual Wireless Communication” project, which is: “Using the visible light source to transmit and receive various types of information using some components, such as an optical transmitter, an optical receiver, and a microcontroller, and this information can be text, audio, and image.

– “An application to improve and plan mobile networks for the fourth and fifth generation using filters and firebase” project, which is about: “Studying and applying the most important variables for planning and improving the fourth and fifth generation cellular system, and a mobile application was created using “FLUTTER” for the user interface and integrated control with “FIREBASE” for the database, and this project is useful in integrating devices with software to improve the implementation and study of this application and is useful in improving the mobile network system, in addition to the possibility of obtaining the longitude and latitude degrees of the device’s location to help the mobile phone to connect to the nearest network tower to work on and many can be applied From modern technologies to be studied in the fifth generation, for mobile networks, for example, “NOMA and Carrier aggregation”.

In the same context, the professors, members of the discussion committees, praised the great effort made by the students in creating and presenting distinguished and diverse projects that keep pace with the great industrial and technological development and contribute to improving the quality of life.
