The Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University launches the "You are fine...Egypt is fine" initiative to support women

Within the framework of the country’s interest to empower Egyptian women and its impact on the achievement of sustainable development, establishment of security and prosperity, and the keenness of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University to activate its societal role. The Community Service and Environmental Development Committee implemented the initiative “You are fine .. Egypt is fine” . With the aim of raising health and cultural awareness and providing psychological support to a group of women from Badr City. The initiative includes many activities, including health awareness lectures on many common diseases and ways of prevention and treatment, lectures and pharmaceutical consultations on the safe and effective use of medicines, and psychological support and awareness lectures. The initiative also includes an important aspect of helping women to create job opportunities or provide ideas for presenting small projects; workshops will be held to train them to manufacture some simple cosmetic products.
In the first activities of the initiative; The Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University received a group of women from Badr City, where Dr. Heba Abu Steit, Chairman of the Community Service and Environmental Development Committee at the faculty of Pharmacy, gave an overview of the initiative, its objectives, and its timetable. Presentation on the concept of domestic violence, how to confront it and ways to eliminate this phenomenon, presented by Dr. Suha Samir, Director of the Unit. Another lecture was also given on the safe and effective use of drugs, and how to avoid drug- food interactions. It was presented by Dr. Nermin Abu Al-Saud, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy. The participating ladies expressed their happiness at being in the university, and benefiting from the first activities of the initiative.
