ERU Hosting the Director of the Arab Impact Factor Project and the recipient of the Best Mathematicians in the World Award, Professor Mahmoud Abdel-Aaty

As part of the continuous effort to place the Egyptian Russian University on the map of international and Arab scientific research, and under the patronage of Professor Sherif Fakhry, the University President, the Egyptian Russian University hosted Professor Mahmoud Abdel-Aaty, Professor of Mathematics and Head of the International Relations Center at Sohag University, Vice President of the University of Applied Sciences in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Director of the Arab Impact Factor Project. He was awarded the Best Mathematicians in the World Award in 2023 from China. He is considered one of the most prominent mathematicians globally. He is also the Vice President of the African Mathematical Union.
The productive meeting covered a comprehensive overview of international publishing platforms and how to index scientific journals in the Clarivate and Scopus databases, with a focus on the Arab Impact Factor of Arabic-language journals affiliated with the Arab Union of Universities.
The meeting was attended by Professor Sherif Fakhry Abdel-Nabi, ERU President, Professor Essam Khamees, ERU Vice President, deans of the university faculties, and members of the editorial board of the university’s scientific journal. Among the attendees were Associate Professor Riham Hassan Meki, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Mohamed Adel Sayed and Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Awad, Assistant Professors at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
In his remarks, Prof. Mahmoud Abdel-Aaty expressed his pleasure at the meeting and praised the efforts made in establishing and managing the university’s scientific journal, “ERU Research Journal”.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Sherif Fakhry presented the Egyptian Russian University’s shield to Prof. Mahmoud Abdel-Aaty as a tribute to his gracious presence.
