The Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University witnessed the discussion of graduation projects for students of the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Butsh, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr./ Ibrahim Mosaad, Head of the Department, and the faculty members of the department.
The projects submitted by the students varied, as they included the areas of designing smart robots for vital applications such as irrigation of agricultural lands, firefighting, coast guarding, designing robotic submarines, production lines, seawater desalination, Internet of Things applications in mechatronics, and controlling self-driving cars. Converting cars from petrol to electric. Some of these projects received financial support and training from some government agencies that financed the projects, due to the distinction of their ideas and the market need for them. Some of them also won various prizes and positions in competitions held nationwide, in which many governmental and private universities participated.
A group of specialized professors from the Suez Canal, Al-Azhar and Helwan universities participated in the arbitration and discussion of the projects, who praised the great effort made by the students in creating and presenting their projects.
The projects were discussed in the presence of the parents of the students, who stayed up and spent until they reached this day, and shared with their sons and daughters the joy of harvesting five years of serious achievement and diligence. The parents expressed their happiness with the level of their sons and daughters, and their pride in the excellence they have achieved in the ability to innovate, discuss and present.
