Sponsored by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in implementation of the principles and objectives of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Egyptian Russian University signed a cooperation protocol with the Electronics Research Institute, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo Governorate within Badr City.

 

 Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University, received a delegation from the Electronics Research Institute of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader, Dean of the Institute. To sign a joint cooperation protocol between the university and the institute through integration between scientific research and education, and mutual benefit. The expertise and laboratories possessed by both parties to the protocol contribute to developing the scientific and research capabilities of both parties. The protocol is sponsored by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

The President of the Egyptian Russian University explained that the goal of the protocol is to conduct theoretical, applied, and training studies and research for students and faculty members in advanced technology in the field of electronics, with the aim of preparing researchers in the various faculties of the university who are distinguished by the required scientific depth and necessary industrial experience. To be able to solve scientific and technological problems facing society and manufacturers in technical fields.

 Dr. Sherif Fakhry Muhammad Abdel Nabi stated that the fundamental purpose of signing the protocol with the “Electronics Research Institute” is to provide optimal preparation for university students and  meet future local and global competitive challenges and to achieve that goal, the university aims to develop and enhance the scientific, social, cultural and physical skills of students and qualify them; To be distinguished graduates capable of meeting market needs in their various specializations, and contributing effectively to the development of their country; especially in the technical and programming fields that have become the backbone of life: “public, industrial, and personal.”

From her side, Dr. confirmed. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, President of the Electronics Research Institute, said that out of the belief of the Electronics Research Institute and the Egyptian Russian University in the importance of cooperation between research and educational institutions, and a desire to exchange experiences and enhance scientific and research capabilities, it was agreed to exchange scientific and technical knowledge and academic materials, in addition to providing opportunities Training, benefiting from the scientific capabilities and laboratory equipment of the Electronics Research Institute, establishing joint research and applied projects in the fields of electronics, information and communications technology, renewable energy and other common fields, and recording the results of research and projects, whether in scientific journals or patents, according to the nature, quality and industrial applications of the results of these projects.

The head of the Electronics Research Institute added that a joint mechanism will be developed to qualify students for the requirements of the labor market, through joint application programs and the development of innovative ideas and their transformation into semi-industrial outputs to enhance the contribution to comprehensive and sustainable economic development, in addition to hosting entrepreneurs and emerging companies based on research outputs.  It is noteworthy that the cooperation protocol was signed by the Egyptian Russian University, Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of the University, and Dr. Sherine Mohamed Abdel Qader Muharram, President of the Institute, while the protocol signing activities from the Egyptian Russian University were witnessed by “Dr. Hisham Fathi, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Shaima Mostafa, Head of the Communications Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Sameh Zarif, Head The Department of Artificial Intelligence at the College of Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Wael Badawy, Head of the Data Science Department at the College of Artificial Intelligence. The signing of the protocol was also witnessed by the Electronics Research Institute: “Dr. Ahmed Toubal, supervisor of the technical office at the Institute; Dr. Bassem Ibrahim, head of the Cloud Computing Laboratory and supervisor of Department of Information Systems and Digital Transformation, and Dr. Howaida Ezzat from the Media Office of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.”
